Ensuring compliance with DDEX delivery standards for efficient music registration
An understanding of DDEX delivery requirements is essential for content partners registering content for Audible Magic's Identification and Music Delivery services. This article provides a detailed overview of the supported DDEX structures, deals, and genres, which are pivotal for seamless content integration and precise rights management. Whether you are involved in music delivery, managing content for user-generated content (UGC) platforms, or navigating complex licensing agreements, following these guidelines will facilitate a streamlined onboarding process and ensure that your catalog is accurately configured within our systems.
Supported DDEX Structure
Identification & Copyright Compliance Systems
A DDEX structure type of Single Resource Release is preferred, but Audio Album/Audio Single is also accepted. During the onboarding process, you will be asked to confirm which structure you will be using to deliver your catalog as this impacts your feed configuration.
Music Delivery Systems

Supported DDEX Deals
Identification & Copyright Compliance Systems
For submissions to Audible Magic’s Identification & Copyright Compliance systems, a <CommercialModelType> of RightsClaimModel and a <UseType> of either UserMakeAvailableUserProvided or UseForIdentification is preferred. A RightsClaimPolicy can also optionally be sent.
By default for unlicensed customers that use Audible Magic’s services for copyright compliance, a Block rule will be applied to all of your content and Allow rules can be set by contacting labeloperations@audiblemagic.com or via our Rights360 rights management portal. For customers that you have a license with for UGC rights, we will apply Monetize rules by default. If you would prefer to use the RightsClaimPolicy to manage rules for your content via your feed for any customers, please reach out to Label Operations team at labeloperations@audiblemagic.com.
In addition to the RightsClaimModel, we would also like to receive a separate <CommercialModelType> of AsPerContract with a <UseType> of AsPerContract.
If you cannot support the RightsClaimModel, we can support feeds using commercial deals as well (such as Stream & Download rights). If you would prefer to deliver with different DDEX deals, please reach out to our team at labeloperations@audiblemagic.com.
During the onboarding process, you will be asked to confirm which structure you will be using to deliver your catalog as this impacts your feed configuration.

Supported Rate Cards
Music Delivery Systems
DDEX deliveries submitted to Audible Magic’s Music Delivery systems require pricing information be communicated. This can be done within the XML via the PriceCode or PriceType element and a separate rate card that outlines which price PriceCode values map to which wholesale rates. The following information must be included for every territory in which you wish to offer purchase downloads. More information about which rate cards we support will be provided during the feed onboarding process.
Content partners may also provide us with proprietary rate cards, which we can use to configure the feed. Lastly, if preferred, no pricing information needs to be applied. In these instances, Audible Magic’s standard wholesale rates are used. You will be asked to confirm how you would like to apply rates to your catalog prior to your feed being established.
For a deeper understanding of our DDEX delivery standards, we encourage you to explore our additional resources. Review sample DDEX files to ensure your submissions meet our guidelines, and familiarize yourself with the supported takedown methods to ensure smooth catalog management. For further assistance or if you cannot delivery in DDEX, contact labeloperations@audiblemagic.com.
