Content owners who have registered their content with Audible Magic can set business rules which instruct our customer sites how to deal with a file that has been identified by Audible Magic. Typical business rules are "Block" and "Allow". The default business rule is "Block".
Please note that while you can set a specific business rule for your content in our reference database, our customers have the responsibility to tailor their action based on your business rule. Audible Magic cannot "force" our customers to take any particular action.
At the time of initial feed setup, your Audible Magic account manager will set a default business rule for your content delivery feed. These rules can be specific to a single platform, a mix of platforms, or all platforms. For example, you can set the rule to "Allow" for SoundCloud, but leave it at the default "Block" for all other platforms.
At any time upon request, you can update business rules by asset(s) or by catalog. If you have content that you would like "Allowed" or "Blocked" on a specific platform(s), please submit a Help Desk ticket and be sure to include the identifying information about your content so that an agent can make the update.
Helpdesk Ticket Example:
Business Rule Request – Artist Name – Song Title – ISRC(s) – Platform(s) (Or all Platforms).
Start Date to Allow: MM/DD/YYYY
Duration/End Date of Allow Rule: Example: 72 hours, in Perpetuity, MM/DD/YYYY, etc.
Note that content owners can only change the business rules associated with content that they have submitted to Audible Magic.
